The Member of the Welsh Parliament for Montgomeryshire, Russell George, has had his first post-lockdown trim at a Barbers, after visiting Llanidloes Barbers to mark its reopening.
Sending his best wishes to the team - Matt, Trudy and Sandra, he has encouraged everyone to support local small businesses as we emerge from the Coronavirus lockdown.
Following his haircut and visit to Llanidloes Barbers, Mr George said:
“I was delighted to have my first professional haircut following lockdown at Llani Barbers.
"Matt first cut my hair some years back when I visited for Small Business Saturday, and I was pleased to return.
"Llanidloes Barbers opened last week, and I wish them well as they re-open to the public again.
"It is important to support the local economy at the best of times but after such a difficult time for small businesses as a result of this unprecedented health pandemic, I think it will be important that we support the livelihoods of local people across Montgomeryshire as we return to some kind of normality."
Trudy Davies, proprietor of Llanidloes Barbers added:
“Russell has always supported and spoken up for independent small businesses on the high streets of Montgomeryshire so we really appreciate his good wishes.
Matt Davies said:
“It was great to be back barbering after a long break and I would like to thank Russell for his visit.”
