A local AM is set to support local companies in Llanidloes taking part in Small Business Saturday on 6thDecember.
Small Business Saturday is a grassroots campaign, which highlights small business success, encourages consumers to shop locally and support small businesses in their communities.
In Montgomeryshire, a number of small firms are taking part and local AM, Russell George, intends to visit Llanidloes to provide his backing to the campaign.
Commenting, Russell George said:
“Small Business Saturday, now in its second year, is a fantastic initiative which is designed to celebrate small businesses and encourage people to shop locally.
“I will be spending the day in Llanidloes visiting local companies to celebrate the town’s small businesses and the services they provide to the local community.
“I’ve even been promised a sherry and mince pie from one of the traders and a haircut from one of the talented young apprentices at another local firm so how could I refuse!
“The Chamber of Trade will also be backing the Small Business Saturday and the Charter Market are holding their Christmas Market on the same day.
“It should be a wonderful day so come along and see what this vibrant town has to offer.
“Llanidloes is going from strength to strength and I want to see it flourish. Small businesses are the beating heart of the community and I would encourage everyone to support them on Small Business Saturday and all year round.”
