Last Friday (29th January), Russell George AM and Glyn Davies MP were delighted to have the opportunity to discuss the latest issues affecting Llanidloes and Montgomeryshire, encouraging students to become more politically engaged.
Following the visit, Russell George said:
"Glyn and I really enjoyed our visit to Llanidloes High School where we had the opportunity to speak to students about the issues which are affecting them.
"We also had a discussion with year 12 and 13 pupils about a range of issues including constitutional questions on the forthcoming EU referendum and the way in which the Assembly is run.
"After being on the receiving end of some of their tough questions, I’m sure a number of the students will also have successful careers as journalists in the future.
"All in all, it was great to see that so many students were politically engaged, something that I would like to encourage as we approach important Assembly Elections in May."
