The announcement that three projects in Powys have been successful in applying for Big Lottery funding has been welcomed by local Assembly Member, Russell George.
The Montgomeryshire AM would like to congratulate the three projects on securing a total of £113,060 of National Lottery funding.
Most notably, Future Play Machynlleth has been awarded a £93,060 grant to install a new playground.
Big Lottery Fund Wales is best known for distributing National Lottery Good Causes funding to help people and communities most in need throughout the country.
Welcoming the news, Mr George said:
"I would like to congratulate all of the local groups who have secured lottery funding for their projects.
"In particular, I would like to welcome the significant £93,060 grant for Future Play Machynlleth which will mean that a new playground is intstalled which will cater for a wider range of ages, and abilities, than is currently available in the main park. The project will benefit all school children in the area, their families as well as older children.
"I'm very much looking forward to seeing the new playground when it is finished and hope that the people of Machynlleth enjoy the new facility which has been made possible by this lottery funding and the dedicated local people who applied for this investment in their community."
