Following the parliamentary debate of "April's Law" on Monday (13th March), calling for tougher sentences for sex offenders, the Assembly Member for Montgomeryshire, Russell George, has said:
“The horrific murder of April Jones shocked not only the community of Machynlleth but people right across the country.
"Monday’s debate in Westminster Hall meant an awful lot to the family and is testament to the courage and resolve they have shown.
"The UK Government should use all the powers available to them to ensure children are fully protected and offenders are well and truly punished for committing such horrendous crimes.”
